Porting ssdtPRGen.sh

What would it entail to entertain the possibility of porting this very useful script to Linux? What hurdles would need to be overcome? What are the analogues of: machdep.cpu.info and/or anything machdep.xxx.xxxx on Linux? Can other tools be used such as: inxi, lscpu, dmidecode, etc to garner the same information?
