Did the issue persist even in safe mode?

Yes, it did persist

If you could not test in safe mode, please state why ("currently printing" is NOT an excuse!)

Hi @EricAiken!

It looks like you didn't upload a system info bundle as requested by the template. A bundle is required to further process your issue. It contains important logs and system information to be able to put your issue into context and give pointers as to what has happened.

Please edit your original post above and upload a bundle zip file. Actually upload the file please and do not paste some link to a cloud provider, we want to have everything in one place here. Also do not unpack, repack or otherwise modify the bundle or its name, share it exactly like you get it from OctoPrint.

Without the availability of a bundle, your issue will have to be closed.

Thank you for your collaboration.

OctoPrint is not currently compatible with Python 3.12 - the upcoming OctoPrint 1.10 release adds this.

OctoPrint currently supports Python 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 3.10 and 3.11

Gina's working on finalising the first release candidate today, but it might not drop today and could be next week instead.

Correction, I'm working on finalizing the first release candidate of 1.10.0. A release candidate phase will follow (usually takes anything between 2-6 weeks, depending on testing feedback and discovered regressions) and then the stable release will be rolled out.

edit hah, simultaneous edit

I run Fedora myself and with pyenv it's quite easy to have several Python versions available on the system. Give it a try maybe before downgrading?

In fact, I used pyenv to test various versions during development.

In other news, 1.10.0rc1 is out.
