Idea to make the app faster

The app would start on this map (the region shapefile) from the paper:
(alternative: the image from the paper and a dropdown list)
Once the subregion is selected, show only the subregion. The rest of the app would stay the same.
I think that the work on the app is relatively minimal, but the data may need to be reformatted and restructured...
