Gateway locks up periodically
CanuckMarc opened this issue · comments
We have found on the CPS sites that the Lorawan Gateway stops receiving messages (via chirpstack) after some time. Currently a cron job to restart the service has been implemented to ensure the service stays online.
*/30 * * * * sudo systemctl restart lorawan-gateway.service
@CanuckMarc Can you please:
- Disable the CRON so we can see the error logs
journalctl -u lorawan-gateway -f
//// wait a minute to flush out logs - Monitor the temp and trend this - want to see if there is a correlation between temperature
Thanks
@jrh21 Implemented as requested.
The lorawan gateway service doesn't fail instantly, so i don't know how we will isolate the failed logging entries. So I also set up a couple of flatline
nodes that should give us an indication that the gateway has failed.
Thanks - were can we track this? CPS dashboard? Or just dial into controller for 200 G?
I'm logging histories under the rubix-device-name
of Diagnostics
on the CPS influx.
