Request for all white NixOS logo lockup that works with GitHub dark mode

Here is what the NixOS logo lockup looks like on the nixpkgs README with GitHub dark mode enabled:

Would it be possible to make a logo lockup that can work with dark and light mode? Perhaps the letters can have a light gray stroke around them?

The coloured lambdaflake should not be used on dark backgrounds:

When used on a dark background, use the white variant of the logo. If you need the text too, import it from the other variant and change its colour to white, keeping the spacing exact.

To "support dark mode", "dark mode" from GitHub should provide the tooling to detect and switch image assets present in rendered files.

puts grumbling hat on In reality, dark mode is kinda rude, and shouldn't try to apply on "user content" (e.g. README).

A more correct option would be to force a white background to the whole image used in READMEs. It would solve the problem with the logotype being basically hidden. At the cost of a small amount of "eye-piercing" white.

An in-between solution could be to force a white outline around everything, only for the version used in READMEs, and not for general use. Though I fear it'll end up being used when it shouldn't.

Thanks for the reply!

GitHub supports conditionally displaying the image, so if a white version of the logo lockup were created, we could use that for darkmode.

Oh, thanks for searching, and thanks for proving me wrong!

This could be used, we could provide a pre-baked version of the white logo for use in READMEs and such then.
