[BUG] Audio-only downloads split by chapter each have metadata showing the full length of the source.

NotSoCheezy opened this issue · comments

Platform: Windows 10 22H2 (Build 19045.3803)
Version: 2023.11.1

Expected Behavior:

Each file should have the length set as the length of its respective chapter. E.G. a ten minute video with four chapters starting at 0:00, 3:00, 4:00, and 8:00 should result in four files with lengths of 3:00, 1:00, 4:00, and 2:00 respectively.

Bug:

Each file has the length set in the metadata as the full length of the video. Following the above example, they are all labelled as ten minutes long, causing playback issues. They are otherwise correctly split.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Download the following video in FLAC format: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIxZKwbJiLg
  2. Set to split by chapter.

Do you have SponsorBlock enabled by any chance?

I have it enabled on Firefox, but not in Parabolic.

I've done additional testing regarding this bug and found that the issue only occurs when downloading in FLAC. Other supported formats are not affected.

Have confirmed the issue also exists in version 2023.12.0 (Flathub) on Fedora.
