I used ScreenToGif to record a gif of about 2.5 minutes, but the C drive was instantly filled up, this folder contains about 2,000 pirctures, It takes up so much disk space that I can't download the gif, the path is C://User/user/AppData/Local/Temp...
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Open ScreenToGif and click this button
- Then, Click on "录制"
- After the recording is complete, I'm going to save it to my D drive, I can't download the gif because my c drive is full
OS: windows10
Version: 2.40.1
Not sure if that's a bug.
During the encode process there is a phase where the images are being converted to a raw format and concatenated into one single big file. With that resolution, fps and time the file would end up something like that. I would check if that's the case (see Encode folder) but the file should (and the Encode folder) be gone after the process. This happens only for S2G encoder. Try with a different one i.e. FFmpeg it should have less disk footprint.
It is definitely a bug, and I've experienced it many times while using ScreenToGIF. Really needs attention because this bug can break not just the app but the whole system that it's working on 🤯
