Game offers to pay twice for items in a container, causing program in disorder

Happens at the very end of attached ttyrec (this is from hardfought but I'm able to reproduce locally). A shop contained a sack with a price 80 scroll inside. I picked it up (along with another item that didn't matter), then pressed pay. It showed me both the sack for 82 and the scroll that was in it separately for 80. I selected to pay for everything without looking, payed the correct price (i.e. did not pay twice for the scroll) but saw program in disorder.
It does not matter that I looked into the bag and knew what was in it, same thing happens if you pay for non-empty container without looking inside: the items are still listed in the pay menu even though you haven't seen them.
