Release corresponding to the 2020 PNAS publication

Great to see NREL publishing more open-source code with clear licensing. Thank you!
For completeness, could you consider creating a release of the code used for the PNAS publication (https://doi.org/10.1073/pnas.1918964117)? This allows future users to check out exactly the version of code used for that paper.
You may also want to consider checking that release in to a repository such as zenodo.org or other DOI-granting repository. That would mean that the code could be given a URL and referenced directly, rather than implicitly by referencing the PNAS publication.
Happy to provide support for either of these steps through this issue or directly (@ryannking you know where to find me!)
The next step is to get your management to recognise citations to non-paper DOIs as being worthy of inclusion in KPIs!
