the commit 5aa655c "prepared the compatibility layer for Hadoop V2" seems to work well ...

would it be worth release 0.7.4 with hadoop2 support before waiting for 0.8.0? It's going to explode with hadoop2 GA, cloudera and hortonworks supporting it.

Also can you start publishing build of 0.8.0-SNAPSHOT-hadoop2 to https://oss.sonatype.org?

BTW: It works well with cloudera's CHD5 beta1 ;-)
