time format in theme mythmediastream

What steps will reproduce the problem?
If the time format of the mythfrontend is set to 24 hours, this has no effect
on the time shown in the top left in the menues. As in the german version AM/PM
is shown as VORM./NACHM. the minutes are not readable. On the OSD the time
format is correct.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Take the time format as set (24 hours mode)
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
mythmediastream 24.6, mythtv 0.26 german translation, mythbuntu 12.04
Please provide any additional information below.

The time format in the (main) menu and other screens of this theme is designed
to be displayed in 12 hours format only (so changing the format to 24 hour mode
has no effect on how it will be displayed on the menus and other screens were
time is being displayed).
I don't know if any options exist to change the size of xml widgets depending
on the language which is being used as this seems to be the real problem. I'll
change the size of textarea displaying the AM/PM indication to a size where it
can no longer overwrite the time indication itself.
Fix will be available in the next release of this theme
