What will happen in your session?

Students studying at Ravensbourne for a BA in Web Media have been supported by the Mozilla Foundation to explore their recent Internet Health Report, research one or more of the identified threats to the health of the internet and use advanced web technologies to tackle those threats. This could involve using technologies such as web VR, AR or the internet of things to advocate for a healthier internet or mitigate against identified threats. The session would be an interactive workshop, initially diving into the key challenges identified in the Internet Health Report and then showcasing the best student responses.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

The goal of the session is for the students and attendees to have a deeper understanding of how technologies hosted on the web can be harnessed to make the web itself healthier. Whilst new web technologies are exciting to play around with, this session aims to show that they can be harnessed to take society a step closer to having an internet that is more open and accessible for all.

If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.

Hey @brettgaylor @cubicgarden - this is a project run by the students of Ravensbourne- do you have space for this session in either of your programs?

@Saallen on the table for discussion. Personally I'd say YES, but need consensus.

@bunnybooboo feel free to change the milestone to yours
