[ Primary Space ] Digital Inclusion
[ Secondary Space ] Web Literacy

[ Submitter's Name ] Dirk Slater

What will happen in your session?

In this session we will look at what it takes to design resources that are people powered and participatory, and support the sharing and dispersal of knowledge within networks and communities. We will examine methodologies for sharing ownership, enabling contribution and supporting collaboration. We will also share lessons learned from existing network-centric resources such as Wikipedia, Tor and LevelUp. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn about and join a growing network of resources developers

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

Hey @kenyatta1 @hannahkane @joenash @msaunby @sedgwickkm @ArtsAward @flukeout @jonathanprozzi @mwakaswanga @edovio This is a proposal from one of our facilitator Dirk, who was on the call last night, and is helping with the facilitator training. This session would be great for one of spaces! But if you can't fit into your space no worries, just comment below and we can fit this into one of the emerging spaces. Thanks :)

@EsmeSimcox Thanks for the ping but I think we are good to go in the DI space. I'll be removing the milestone.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a session to MozFest. Due to the high level of submissions, we’re unable to accept all proposals and unfortunately, your session was not part of the final group.

Thank you for taking the time to submit and we will follow up on email very soon.

Update on information

  • What is the goal or outcome your session?
Outcomes I am hoping to achieve:
To create a list of best practices for creating network-centric resources based on participant’s experiences
To get participants engaged in our network on creating network-centric resources
To connect participants to each other, so they can learn from each others experiences.

  • After the festival, how will you and your participants take the learning and activities forward?
The learnings will be incorporated into FabRiders’ Network Centric Resources project

  • How much time you will need?
    90 Minutes

  • How will you deal with varying numbers of participants in your session? What if 30 participants attend? What if there are 3?
As the session design is based upon participant interaction, there will be no difference in delivery of the session if there is 3 or 30 participants (or any other variant of numbers!)

  • If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.
I'll just need flip chart paper, post it notes and markers - Thanks!!

Also do you have a GitHub name?
It’s @Fabrider
