Support for JQuery 3.6.0

We are looking to upgrade JQuery to 3.6.0 from 3.4.1. We are using the jQuery migration tool and the TableSorter component (v. 2.31.2) is generating several warning messages about deprecated functions. Are there any plans to update TableSorter to support the latest version of JQuery or remove the dependency on JQuery?
