Reading a second mouse

It is not clear, at least to me, how to read the data for a second mouse. The module hps_io seems to provide data for a single device. Does MiSTer support connecting two mouse devices?
The use case is arcade games for two players, where the mouse is the most convenient for most users.
PS: Two mouse devices are supported on MiST, so this seems to be more common a need than one would've thought
Mouse and Keyboard are aggregated single devices like on PC. There is no plans to support more than one.
