Network Skip: Pattern scan failed

Nud3lRick opened this issue · comments

Hi,

any idea why the network skip is not working for me? The log always shows [error] Network Skip: Pattern scan failed.

Are you using the Steam version of the game or Gamepass/MS Store? Also are you using the p3rpc.essentials mod?

Thanks for your quick response. Im using the Steam Version without the p3rpc.essentials mod.

Thats my full log:

Hmm okay it's probably a difference between the Gamepass build and the Steam one then. Would you able to upload your P3R\Binaries\Win64\P3R.exe file? I unfortunately don't have access to the Steam version so I'd need the executable to check the pattern.

Pixeldrain would be a good place to upload it. If you can't then no worries, I can see if I can get the executable from someone else.

I uploaded the exe: https://pixeldrain.com/u/E7Tzy7eY
Apart from that, everything works very well. Many thanks for that.

Thanks for that. The function the network skip hooks into looks quite different pattern-wise in the Steam version. Can you try this test build that has an updated pattern?

P3RFix_v1.1.5_test.zip

It works! But is it normal to shortly see the confirmation of the network menu? I don't see that in the video you posted on the release page.

Awesome, and yes it's normal to see it flash up for a sec. That is a by-product of enabling network features by default. It still has to connect so it shows the dialog briefly. It wasn't shown in the past video because that hadn't been implemented yet.

Is it skipping the confirm screen properly on your end? The network functions bit is a 2-parter where it enables it by default, then automatically closes the dialog box.

Yes, it skips the network screen properly and very quickly. Thanks again for solving this so fast.

No problem. I'll put this fix in the next release version and close this issue when it's out. Thanks for providing the detailed report and the Steam executable btw!

Fixed in v1.1.5.
