Reproduction:

Setting SkipTo option from 2 to 1 causes black screen

Thanks for catching that! Found where I made a typo, should be fixed in the next release.

Should be fixed in v1.1.3.

Should be fixed in v1.1.3.

Not sure if you'd prefer a separate issue for this or just a reply here, but I have v1.1.3 now and the issue isn't fully fixed on my end.

SkipTo = 1 will now skip to the opening movie and begin playing it but no button presses on a controller, key presses, or mouse clicks can get you past the movie. Letting the movie play all the way through still results in a black screen and the only way out is to Alt+F4.

I'm on the Xbox Gamepass version of the game unlike OP, v1,0.75.0.

Here's my logs in case they're helpful.

Yep I'm seeing that bug, added it to the known issues list and yeah, no need to make an additional issue. I'll hopefully get it sorted soon.

Wanted to add that I am getting this issue too, but on Steam.

Should hopefully be fixed for real this time in v1.1.4.

Working now over here, thanks!
