Develop API status checks

The API endpoints offered by providers are known to go offline, I am working to develop an uptime monitor to make debugging easier.
I am currently considering a shields.io endpoint badge with RunKit Endpoint to check each individual endpoint however, this solution will require a high amount of code and the update time on badges could be poor.
If anyone has suggestions for free cloud monitoring for the ~100 endpoints which could just return the number of online endpoints and provide an uptime % I would love to hear them.
We ideally need access to Nodeping or Uptime robot but these services are both paid offerings
