Create new branch and set up Jekyll starting point

The migration work will be done on the gem-theme branch. The v2.1 branch has the last commit made before the migration. The gh-page will remain the same as the v2.1 branch until the migration is done and the gem-theme is merged with the gh-pages branch. The v2.1 branch will be kept in case the old theme is needed.
