Problems with the shaders and actors if they are partially covered screen (see 
screenshot).

Version of TwinEngine: svn r285 (running on Windows XP SP3)

I fixed that, but it looks like a consequence of another bugfix (polygons 
off-screen were causing the game to freeze/crash, I believe). Freezing is 
eliminated, however, there may have been another side effects that I missed, I 
need someone to verify this.
