"Save" to two locations

nollinvoyd opened this issue · comments

I would like to "update" the db to OneDrive and Google drive simultaneously.

I can do it with File > synchronize > recents and picking my local Google Drive entry. Maybe it's irrelevant to this situation, but for some reason only by picking the Google option. If I choose Onedrive, only the OneDrive db gets updated.

Is there any way to set things up to accomplish this solely with "save", or perhaps another, simpler alternative than having to navigate to File > synchronize > recents.

I tried to set up a Trigger, but I can't get it to work.

Also, regardless of what I choose as a local backup folder here, it does not update in that location.

AUTO SYNC

That's the reason why I even picked up this plugin, hoping to be able to do that, because I don't wanna put "all eggs in one basket" as we like to say.

Maybe I just have to give two separate plugins a try...

You want to save to two different locations whenever you click "save"?
If so, it truly sounds like Triggers would be your best way to do that. I'd encourage you to give them another try.

The Triggers documentation page says "For example, you could define a trigger that automatically uploads your database to a backup server after saving the file locally."
This sounds really close to what you want, except that instead of "after saving the file locally", it would be "after saving the file to server B".
Another very similar example: Synchronizing with Dropbox / other PC synchronization software.

I don't know about @nollinvoyd but I was just thinking automatic sync with more than just one cloud, and ofc locally.
I'm trying two separate plugins right now... seems to work okay.
