Thin-wall vs thick volume transmission

It would be good to have model showcasing the different behaviors we see between thin walled transmission (thicknessFactor = 0) and volumes (thicknessFactor > 0).

I could see this represented as 2 row of spheres, increasing IOR from left to right. On the top row, the volume extension is not defined, only transmission (therefore thickness is 0). On the bottom row, we would add the volume extension to the spheres and define a thickness factor of 1.0. We should clearly see that the top row does not demonstrate macroscopic refraction, as opposed to the bottom row. We should see an increase in reflectivity on both rows as IOR increases from left to right.

Or something like that ...
