Ensure that there are no issues left and polish before 1.0 release

This is the final task in the 1.0 milestone. Before the 1.0 release, we need to be extra sure that everything is working as it should. We should do some final polishing of the codebase. We need to make sure that the game has been tested on all platforms, especially macos.
