Change the function of double clicking

Feature description

I want the only way to be able to launch or install a game in grid view and details view only via using the designated play button, and change the double click action in grid mode to bring the overview page back up in case I close it out.

I am trying to design a theme and want to remove the buttons on the game covers. The only thing I saw along these lines were from a year old Reddit post saying it was hard coded in to be a play action. Apologies if that has changed since then.
