Slow with many users

I have an internal website with more than 6500 users. This plugin would be perfect to test the different user roles views but after activation it is extremly slow.
It seems the plugin loads on every page request all users, or too much details.
Maybe a settings or simply only having the search field would be enough.
Is this a know issue or something with my setup?
This is a known issue. Please test the latest version (1.8, master branche).
It checks for the amount of users. If there are more than 100 it will switch to AJAX.
I wanded to release it earlier but due to my vacation currently I thought it would be best to wait.
