TileIconifier not allowing me to pin custom shortcuts

When I try to use TileIconifier's Custom Shortcut Manager to create a custom folder or app shortcut, then access it from %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\TileIconify\Custom Shortcuts, it does not allow me to Pin to Start.. it damn sure allows me to pin the folder CONTAINING the custom shortcut, but not the actual shortcut for it to be pinned to start in order to be edited.
I had to expand start menu to full screen, go to all apps, tileiconifier and then pin it there
