The translation function cannot be performed...

Hi, I installed MAMP and put the folder: translation-api at http://localhost/chrome-extensions/custom-subtitles/dist/translation-api/,
but it seems that the extension does not work as a translator.
Please tell me what to do?

i tested it just now, and it has a problem when it is installed the first time,
doesn't set the default preferences,
as a workaround, disable and enable subtitles,
and all functions should now work
if that is not the problem you can change the translation server,
by default use deepl, try google, in options
if still failing, can you send a picture of the console errors it throws when you try to translate?
besides saying, what language do you want to translate?,
ex. english -> spanish, to replicate your issue

I followed your instructions, but the extension did not work.

i've updated the extension, if you are still interested, try the new version
first, uninstall completely the old extension and close all youtube tabs,
to avoid any conflict
since you only want to translate, follow this:
- select the source language, in your case English
- deactivate these options
- select the language to translate, in your case Chinese
if everything worked well, would translate
if not, tell me the problem
