Is there a way to improve this?

Unfortunately, I am not responsible for maintaining the flatpak package. Fortunately, the chances are high that you can find a package for this program in your distro's repositories. I am aware that debian, ubuntu and manjaro now have packages.

Indeed, it's available in Debian (sid) since a few weeks: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=988031

Thanks!
