Inbox flags are not cleared when viewing Unified Inbox

When viewing Unified Inbox a task should be fired off to check if any flags of related inboxes can be cleared too.
This doesn't appear to be happening. It works in reverse just fine (viewing an inbox will clear the "new" flag on Unified Inbox)
