This activity was completed at an extent of 50% in year 1. Discussions have emphasized the need for accounting to allow for remote storage of both large collections of small files and individual large files. An area of exploration has been the addition of external S3 buckets that can be charged directly to the depositor's grants for storage. This and other technical solutions for supporting remote large data storage that the team is exploring will continue to impact this work. Year 2 work toward completion will be tracked as yr:2 aim:1 task:2a (2.1.2A) starting at 50% complete.
