Why S3DIS is only tested on validation set?

Hello. I saw in test_any_model.py, the flag 'on_val' is raised for S3DIS dataset when initiating dataset configuration. I want to know why the model for S3DIS has to be tested on the validation set. Thank you.
There is no test set defined on this dataset validation scores are possible
