      • Crash (audio drops out, then freeze) after ~2-4 hours. This started around the same time I updated to Nvidia driver 532.03, but there were other changes around then too. Reverted to 531.79 yesterday and haven't seen it since, but too early to confirm.
      • After some dragon tears memories, fps locks to 30 until emu restart.
    • Performance:
      • When fps is unlocked in Yuzu, menu tab switching, Ultrahand Y-axis, and other framerate dependent things are hard to use (too fast). I use Gsync, so I would prefer to unlock the framerate if not for these issues. "Vertical sensitivity fix" seems to reduce this, but also reduces vertical sensitivity for the camera when riding a horse, using the scope, etc (I think it just divides the sensitivity by 2 and these use the same base value but aren't rate-sensitive).
      • The game is definitely CPU or memory bandwidth bound on my setup. I run at 3x resolution scale, and there is virtually no performance difference compared to 2x.
      • FPS++ seems to not quite hit 60 when unlocked in some situations where it does hit 60 when locked. Maybe there's some frame-pacing trickery going on in the game that's fighting with the variable rate? I work in graphics optimization, and this isn't an uncommon issue to hit.
      • Load times improve slightly by unlocking FPS on the loading screen, but then I re-lock in game per above. Maybe a mod could do this?

Cheats:
Infinite Durability Became broken after Yuzu EA 3607, no longer used

Notes:

Steady improvements using Yuzu EA until after Yuzu EA 3607 when the "Infinite Durability" cheat stopped working. I switched to the "Unbreakable Equipment (RomFS)" mod from GameBanana but since Yuzu EA 3617 I have begun to experience 3 different bugs all related to the "Unbreakable Equipment" mod. The first is random infinite loading screens that can occur at any time. The second is that I can no longer switch shields. If I try to switch shields it just doesn't happen and the icon for the desired shield disappears. If I try to drop that shield it simply disappears from my inventory and doesn't appear on the ground. The third is Gannon, in any form, cannot access his weapon, he makes a movement to grab it and nothing appears. He just keeps repeating the movement and no weapon appears. If I disable the "Unbreakable Equipment" mod all the issues disappear. I'm not sure if the mod is broken in some way, or its some sort of interaction with any of the graphical mods I am using. Before Yuzu EA 3617 it worked perfectly.

    The frametime is all over the place, and this results to many micro stutters which is most likely my cpus fault. I tried capping the framerate to 44 frames with rivatuner, which resolved some of the frametime problems, but i´d still get the micro stutters even though there are no shaders compiling. Unfortunately ryujinx isn´t even playable on my system, but for some reason when it hits 30 frames it feels much more responsive than yuzu on mainline.

  • Yuzu mode: Docked.
  • Sometimes Gloom is not rendered properly and it looks flat. Starting the game in windowed mode, loading into the save and switching to fullscreen only after I have control of the character fixes the issue for me.
  • I try to update mods and yuzu early access as often as possible.
  • I only play on Yuzu. Ryuginx was only used for testing for this survey. It didn't try to optimize the settings for max performance.
  • FPS in an open world area: varies between 50 and 60.
  • FPS in an enclosed area (shrines, caves): stable 60.
  • FPS drops when shader compilation happens (duh). Usually it goes down to ~45.
  • On Ryuginx: shader compilation was droping FPS from ~37 to ~25.
  • Changing between x1, x2 or x3 resolutions have no effect on my FPS. Obvious reason is that my GPU can tank any of those, and actual FPS drops come from CPU and Yuzu.

    • Sometimes when fast-traveling game just stuck on loading screen and needs to be restarted.
    • From gameplay perspective, it's impossible to complete side quests which require to capture some object on purah pad camera, because camera don't register objects when taking picture (but i have modded switch so i don't mind to transfer saves back and forth for them).
