"Select mode" uses a lot of video resources

lpgasparotto opened this issue · comments

I'm using Heekscad and Heekscnc on Fedora 26 KDE spin. Hardware is a modest AMD FX-8300 on a Asus Motherboard with an Radeon 3000 integrated graphic card. The problem is related to the use of video resources. When in "Select Mode" Heekscad uses almost 90% of the video resources (measured with radeontop). This makes every action (zoom, selection, etc.) to take several seconds on my hardware. But when in "Zoom mode", "Pan mode" and "Rotation mode" Heekscad can perform complex operation like zoom in/out or rotation in a smoothly way, without lags and with a very low video resources consumption.
