Investigate color changes

At some point the default color scheme of Material for MKDocs changed. The result is that the background is darker than it used to be. While the site is still usable, I don't think it's as easy to read as it should be. I need to investigate these color options and see if I can improve things.
This was resolved in #332. I think it's a lot more readable now. If we ever decide to change our brand colors (or care about them) we can update those using this.
