No events or bindings for Streetview

The Google Maps API provides an interface for setting a default StreetView object, but the same interface is not available via the Polymer implementation. Can we get the ability to either get google-map-pegman-dropped events when the Pegman is dropped on the map or a way to set the default StreetView obect with a StreetViewPanoramaOptions object to be used when google-map initializes the StreetView panorama.
What are the chances of this ever getting implemented?
