[Feature Request] Adjusting L/R audio balance from software

Linkredible opened this issue · comments

Hello,

If possible, it would be nice to be able to manage the audio balance of each channel (or even the headphone output) directly from the software.

Whether it's for accessibility, or a faulty headphone, modifying via the windows parameters isn't very practical, especially with the numerous channels generated by the go-xlr

Thanks

Hey,

This isn't possible currently. (And i don't know if this could be added by the firmware but thats not what we could do)
In theory, this could be realised currently BUT in the way the routing works (and this would be the only thing we could change), you would have only 32 increments for each L or R AND it would be exponentially.
This means, you can't get a clean L/R Balance and you would mostly not be able to match it correctly to equal L and R.

Hope this helps to understand.

I'm going to close this one as 'Not Possible'. While yes, there are certain workarounds we can put in regarding the routing, it wasn't really designed for that purpose, and there's a huge level of complexity when it comes to getting it right.. And with the OS, even appreciating the inconviencence, doing the job properly, for now that's probably the best place for it.

I'll keep this in mind though, and if there's a useful change which makes it more plausable I'll reopen it down the line.

Thanks.
