When migrating the content with images

I'm not sure if this would be the right place to document this.

We receive a fair amount of tickets in support about images not loading when before they appeared just fine.

This happens very often when users migrate the content with images. It seems many of them expect GitBook to upload static URLs. For some of them, it might take a really long time to find and replace those old image URLs.

We usually suggest uploading the images to GitBook instead.

Perhaps it would help our users to know that we use the URL they provide to fetch the image and add it to their page, but that they are not downloaded in any way on our side?

Some of the users suggested giving them a warning so they could replace them. I think, in this case, it would be feedback to capture in the support bucket?

Hey @aikoii would you be able to please move it to Linear as a product issue?
Thank you!
