Add CI/CD builds and checks for PRs

Add CI/CD builds and checks for pull requests. Also have a nightly build of master.
Not sure if this is exactly related here, but I think that some kind of logging should be added to improve our debugging capabilities, especially as the code base increases in size and complexity.
This can really help when builds fail
