Request: Bus Pirate support
GoogleCodeExporter opened this issue · comments
The Bus Pirate has a continous ADC mode sent as 16bits over a serial port.
Would you consider adding support for it?
There's already an example python script and some documentation:

I don't have a pirate bus, it'd be great to support it though! i will be
writing a simple backend so it will be easier for anyone to support new
platfomrs

I work with the DP source alot and have a few functions in the current release
of BP. I know Ian and other DP staff; If you need support adding the bus pirate
to your applcation please let me know. Please understand; everyone; the
buspirate was in NO way intended nor hardware supported to be a logic analyzer.
Its an open source project so people added it themselfs and Ian kept it for
whatever reason. So do not think the bus pirate is a way to get a cheap O-scope
as its super super slow (16MIPS) with ADC even slower; more like a 3Mhz scope,
maybe.
but I can support it and have multple bus pirates (hardware) to test it.
let me know.
