Subword processing

In XL-Lexeme we have an option for sub-word processing. It seems that this is not currently used. Is it safe to remove the option altogether?
@Garrafao might be able to answer this better, if we may need it in future, otherwise we can remove it completely.
Yes, I think it should be removed.
I have removed this in commit 4c1eed3.
