FY27 Reporting for IT Spending Data

Message from the Office of Management and Budget, Office of the Federal Chief Information Officer

We are taking action to simplify IT reporting for Fiscal Year 2027 – focusing on our core statutory requirements while reducing agency burden. Additional details will be shared soon through formal OMB channels (e.g., Budget Data Request [BDR]).

If agencies have any questions, please reach out to your assigned Desk Officer within OMB’s Office of the Federal CIO.

About the GitHub Repository

This GitHub repository is supplied by GSA for the IT Portfolio Management (ITPfM) Community in support of modernized IT Collect API. Here ITPfM developers can find the latest ITPfM policy Guidance and the API Schema specs that show the direction of IT Collect data architecture. The repository’s aim is to provide real-time updates to the IT Collect API. It will serve as living documentation of the latest changes.

IT Collect

As previously communicated to agency CIOs, the IT Dashboard will remain available for agencies to continue reporting their IT portfolio data to the IT Dashboard as needed (e.g., CIO risk evaluations), in order to fulfill their capital planning and investment control statutory requirements.

For technical questions regarding IT Collect, we encourage the IT Collect community to comment and ask questions here on GitHub. Go to the Issues and add comments and questions. If you wish to contribute to the code base, please fork this repository and, after committing your changes to the schema files, create a pull request. As issues are updated, community subscribers will receive automated updates from GitHub. You can check the status of your issue by visiting the issue page.
