This is the README file for FS-UAE Launcher.

Notice for packagers

The Launcher is undergoing restructuring, so packaging the Launcher for 3rd-party distribution might not be practial at the moment. Waiting until the situation stabilizes is recommended!

Installing FS-UAE Launcher

If you are using the source distribution and using a Linux-like system, you should be able to install FS-UAE Launcher by running "make install". The setup procedure requires Python 3 and setuptools to be installed.

For other platforms, see docs/compiling.md.

Requirements

FS-UAE Launcher requires Python 3, requests and PyQt5 to be installed. It can optionally use the lhafile python package to support .lha archives. The Pillow package is required to build icons.

See the INSTALL file for more details.

Running FS-UAE Launcher

You start FS-UAE Launcher by running the following command:

$ fs-uae-launcher

You can also run FS-UAE Launcher without installation by running the following command in the source root directory:

$ ./fs-uae-launcher

This requires running ./bootstrap and make first. See docs/compiling.md for more information about running FS-UAE Launcher from the soure directory.
