Long text widget very difficult to swipe left or right

If you have a text widget (markdown format tested) which is long i.e. you can scroll it vertically, then it becomes very difficult to swipe away from that page if you place your finger on that widget as a starting point.

This becomes more problematic if you have e.g. a single such widget on the page or have 2 similar widgets side by side, as there is then almost no-where you can place your finger to start the swipe. Indeed, it appears that in this situation the only reliable way you can swipe is to start the swipe beyond the left or right of the screen - i.e. at the very edge of the touchscreen. Occasionally you can get lucky and hit somewhere on the scrollable page where you can swipe, but I've not worked out any pattern to this (if there is one).

Of course you can still move left or right with the page up/down so this isn't urgent but ought to be addressed at some point.
