Uncapped/higher skill levels please

Would it be possible to uncap the skill levels? Or add 1/2 more levels.
If possible it would be nice to modify the skill experience required for them and bonus granted, but if not that's cool.

It's just not possible right now, there's a ton involved in making it happen.
While it might simply seem "oh just increase the number" and in most sensible games it would be; instead, for example, the Save file format of FTL and a bunch of other complicated things handle levels 1 and 2 as booleans so we can't even represent 3 without completely building a new save format, etc...
