Inquiry: Availability of neighbor-filter Command in FRR

xmerlin opened this issue · comments

Description

Hello FRR Team,

I am currently using FRR versions 9.0, 9.1, and 10.0 and am interested in utilizing the neighbor-filter command for OSPF. Although this command is mentioned in the official documentation, it appears to be absent from the actual software in the aforementioned versions.

Could you please provide information on the following:

Which version of FRR introduced the neighbor-filter command for OSPF?
If the command is not yet available, are there any plans for its implementation in upcoming releases?
Any relevant documentation or release notes where this command's introduction is mentioned.
Understanding the availability and usage of this command would greatly assist in planning our network configurations and ensuring compatibility with our current infrastructure.

Thank you very much for your assistance and for all the hard work on the FRR project.

Checklist

  • I have searched the open issues for this bug.
  • I have not included sensitive information in this report.

It will be in 10.1 only.

when do you plan to release 10.1?

Around July.

In the meantime, is it possible to achieve similar behavior in another way? I have 5 routers that must share the same network, and I want 4 of them to exchange routes only with the fifth router without exchanging routes among themselves.

Has the non-multicast option for point-to-multipoint been included in the documentation but scheduled for a future release? as I can see it's not available in 9/9.1/10 like the previuos one
-> ip ospf network (broadcast|non-broadcast|point-to-multipoint [delay-reflood|non-broadcast]|point-to-point [dmvpn])
