Rename individual monitors

I have a couple of identical (Dell U2415h) displays on a dual head setup, and for a few reasons this app is priceless to me now that I've found it. However, OS X is adamant that the left (and primary) display is DELL U2415 #2, and secondary one I have on the right is DELL U2415 #1. As one can imagine, this can be a little confusing given that in English-speaking countries most people count left-to-right.

I believe this is itself an issue not with DisableMonitor itself, but with OS X's internal handling of displays, as System Preferences refers to these monitors by the same numbers as DisableMonitor. Swapping the cables actually doesn't have any affect, as the system can tell which monitor is which. (Perhaps via a serial number in the EDID?)

However, I doubt that internally DisableMonitor internally uses strings to perform actions on displays, so I'd imagine it likely safe to have it rename screens as they show in the list.

Ideally, in my eyes the Manage window for a given monitor should provide an edit field to rename how the monitor is referred to in DisableMonitor. This would allow, to reuse my personal example previously, for me to rename DELL U2415 #1 to Dell U2415 Right, etc.

I imagine I'm not the only one with this issue, as most people I know who use multiple displays use identical displays..
