Question: Intending to lose phases upon death?

Players are losing their phases if they die and respawn.
Is this intended? It would be great to have an config option for this.
This also seems to happen when travelling between dimensions, effectively making phases completely unusable. Hopefully this can be fixed.
Anyone knows if this project is dead or is there any canche some bugs can be fixed soon?
in particular.. if you are holding a phased item on death.. the phase gets removed
