Works wonderfully on Galaxy S8+, from the phone locked and in sleep.

Working in app, from launcher and sleep with OnePlus 5T (OTG Storage in Advanced setting must be enabled)

Works fine on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. (locked/sleep)

works fine on a Oneplus 3 using a standard usb-c to usb-c cable with OTG storage enabled

Working on Samsung Galaxy S8 on latest Oreo update.

Works perfectly on unrooted OnePlus 5

Getting this error on my Redmi Note 3 (Global)

@Maschell I'm not 100% sure, but I think your device has an ehci controller unfortunately. So you'd need to patch your kernel if you want it to work.

Even cant install :(
c7aehmk6ozy

@MuskratDesman what device? I wonder if the native code is not compatible with your architecture.

@DavidBuchanan314 Xiaomi Redmi 3S , sorry, forgot to specify

Workig very good on lenovo zuk z2

The released 0.1 apk doesn't install on my Marshmallow phone,
Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES]
I re-signed it with a test key and it installed fine, I'm guessing the certificate you used isn't recognised by older Androids.

Haven't tested if it works with my Switch yet as I don't have the cable yet.

Confirmed working: Galaxy S9+ USB C-C cable. Thank you for this.

Working in a Pixel 2 XL with 8.1.0 stock

Not work on STK sync e5

Works flawlessly on LG v20 unrooted!!

Perfect on Samsung note 8 unrooted!

Works Great on my Motorola Z2 Play. Can't wait for ShofEL2 support!

Works perfectly on my Galaxy S7 (SM-G930T)

EDIT: Works on the Essential Phone non-rooted! I used a USB C to USB3 A hub. Even when locked!

Using a C to C cable does not work with this phone.

commented

Initially tried it with the cable I used to launch fusee gelee from linux, but it didn't work. Then I tried with a couple other ones and it went through, quite strange, but it works! S7 (SM-G930F)

Hey @MuskratDesman, I think I fixed those installation issues in the latest release, please let me know if it works now:

https://github.com/DavidBuchanan314/NXLoader/releases/tag/alpha-0.2

yeah, installed! Thx!

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 works great

Working perfectly on Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X (global, mido), great job, thank you so much.

When I open the app, it does not request app permissions at all, I cleared cache, data, reinstalled, manually configured usb auth, and have debug setting enabled. Using a c-c cable

Works like a charm on my rooted oneplus 3 running oxygen os 4.5.0 (android 7.1.1), locked and unlocked

Works with my LG V10 on Android 6.0,
but not my Oneplus Two with LineageOS 15.1 (Android 8.1) <-- This may be because of the cable

Works perfectly on my Rooted Verizon Galaxy S5 running Android 5.0.0!

Working perfectly on my Samsung Note 8 (not rooted) with just a usb-c to usb-c cable

Tested on my LG G6 with a USB-C to USB-C cable, works perfectly.

S8 Edge and its spread its love on the runny kind.

I installed the newest one, but the ver. Says 1.0

@laramie14 oops, that's just because I never changed the version in build.gradle because I'm a noob. I'll fix that for the next release. If you can see clickable links in the ABOUT tab, that means you have v0.2

I have the latest, it has the links it just does not ask for my permissions, and when I try to request it manually it says no permissions requested.

@laramie14 See this: #7

Don't think there's much I can do I'm afraid.

@laramie14 Those permissions wouldn't show up there regardless. Just asking cause you didn't specify that: But did you actually plug in the switch in RCM mode? Maybe you can confirm it's in RCM on a PC?

It works on my PC, just not on my phone 🙃 I can look at it when I get off though thanks 😋

By chance does this app individually request permissions? In Android 8.0+ it was updated to make permission request individually to protect users against permission attacks.

The app doesn't request any permissions that fall into this category. The USB permission is handled separately. If the permission dialog for it doesn't pop up when you plug in the Switch in RCM, there is nothing that could be done as it is an issue with your phone.

The App works perfectly fine on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with RessurectionRemix 6.0.0 (Android 8.1.2) but not on my Galaxy Note 1 (Gee What a surprise ;) but still thought I'd report it)

Working: Nexus 6P on Resurrection Remix 8.1 (Linaro)

Working on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F) Stock Android 7.0 (Rooted)

commented

Doesn't seem to work with my Motorola Z2 Force. Stock Oreo. I think it's more so that my phone doesn't detect the switch at all then it is a problem with the app.
Edit: Tried on Galaxy S4 as well (rooted + CM13) "Sending payload failed at offset 0"

commented

Works on my XiaoMi Mix2s(unrooted), with a C to C cable.

LG V20
seems to be working on the LG V20. haven't ran any other payloads yet.
lgv20

It works from an unrooted ZTE Blade v7 lite (like a 70 buck phone) with a cheap hama micro usb to usb a otg cable + pro controller charging cable.

Tested with Google Pixel 1, non-XL. Android 8.1 worked flawlessly with original C to C cable

@nightspades

how? my pixel 1 did not do anything?! also with the orignal C to C cable.

So, yesterday i tried it again with my old nexus5 and an OTG Adapter and everything is working fine, but i can not get it with an Google Pixel 1.

Work on Honor 7x with otg

Working on stock Verizon Galaxy J7 V.

Doesn't work on my S6 unrooted but wotks on my LG v4 unrooted

Working with my Xiaomi Mi5s changing "fuse.bin" file with Hakate (4.x) payload in the assets folder. Great job DavidBuchanan314.

Works fine on Motorola Moto Z Android 8.0 unrooted

Tested on Google Pixel (1) running Android P beta. Tested with sample payload and it worked fine.

@gotwig same problem on my s6. Going to try to root it and see if that helps just haven't had a chance to it yet

samsung s9 + working fine

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 rooted Qualcomm device. It seems to not work for me and I get this error:

"Failed to read device ID, bailing out :("

Anyone got a solution?

@LooP403 worked for every other s7 user, check your cable I guess.

I really have no choice for phones right now. I'm stuck with a phone from 2011 with android 2.3.5. The app obviously won't install on a version that low. Just wanted to post this to maybe see if there is a way to make this work?

I have tried with both my table Tab S2 and phone Note 5 but I'm getting the same error:

Sending payload failed at offset 65536

Any help is appreciated.

I bought another microusb hub someone suggested on discord, i will let you know guys if it works with my S6!

Samsung Galaxy s3 didn't Work with an Error, but at least my Pixel 1 with original c to c cable Works now!
It also Works with the original USB a to c OTG Adapter with an USB a to c cable.

This is so crazy! My Note 5 is not working while nearly all android phones I'm trying are. Please have a look at this compatibility issue.
Tried again and got this error:

Sending payload failed at offset 61...

LeEco Le Max 2 working using latest LineageOS 15.1 Build.
Used the standard USB-C to USB-C cable that came with it.

Has anyone tried on a Sony Xperia XA2? Mine won't detect the switch

GALAXY S6 unrooted working!!! use the usb hub with the name MICRO USB HUB on it that looks exactly like this https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.de%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F131526067980

in different countries its everywhere selling, look for the name on the hub and search for the same picture!! good luck and thank you discord!

If your phone supports OTG - BUY THIS THING :x I tried 3 different things, its the first one that worked and its super cheap!

Working correctly on:

Moto Z Play
Android 7.1.1
No Root
Anker USB-C to USB-C cable

T-Mobile Coolpad Rogue (3320a) 5.1.1
USB OTG Checker shows good, but nothing happens when in rcm mode

Host Ubuntu
Hardware qcom

Samsung SM-T280 Android 5.1.1
USB OTG Checker good
Nxloader works great

Host swdg5222
Hardware sc8830

Have root on the coolpad, going to see if I can get it to work as it’s a fairly cheap, small phone and could easily store in Switch case.

Working with:

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8 Active
Android 8.0.0
No Root
Stock USB-C to A adapter then Anker USB-A to C (Powerline+ 6ft)
Amazon Basics USB-C to USB-C cable (6in)

commented

Works fine (INAPP, APP and LOCKED) on my Google Pixel 2 XL.

  • Android P (STOCK)
  • USB-C to USB-C

Worked with:
Standard Honor 6X
Android 7.0

using:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00A3QUM6S/ (microUSB to A)
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01GN0M6NE/ (A to C)

Does not work with unrooted Verizon Pixel 1 XL @android 8.1.0 with stock c to c cable nor c to a converter and a to c cable. Works fine with Verizon Pixel 2 XL with original c to c cable.

Not working on Galaxy s4 (unrooted)

commented

Doesn't seem to work with Samsung Galaxy J5 unrooted, Android 7.1.1
screenshot_20180527-115457

LeEco Le2 has an EHCI controller according to dmesg's output, will need a patch. Maybe I can convince LineageOS mantainer of the fork to include it, if its not too intrusive or security risky...

commented

Works on my Nexus 5X, with a C-C cable.

It does not work on my Oneplus 5 .does not do anything on my mobile edit:yes, if it works, there was only one problem with my otg cable

works weird on my oneplus3t with RROS(7.1.1), connected by C-C cable. The phone recognized RCM device just one time then failed ever.

My XPeria XZ1 does not work. The app does not react to the switch in RCM at all.

In the devices settings menu under the point usb connection it says:
No device connected

I just activated usb debugging but nothing changed. The device has a stock rom. It is not rooted.

I used an usb c to usb c cable.

It works on my OnePlus 5T with stock rom, but it doesn't with LineageOS.

I use an otg cable usb c on my lenovo zuk z2 pro and work with the inital payload release,
but when i try the new payload with the sleep fix.
I got a "sending payload failed at offset 65536"

i use the same usb c to usb for send payload via windows and a sony xperia Z5Compact via an micro usb otg and work on this two product.

I just tried this with my HTC M8 using a micro usb to usb A and usb A to usb C and it doesn’t ask for permissions meaning it doesn't work, does this mean my phone will never work with this or could support be added later?

img_0921

Worked on Honor Note 8, Android 7.0.

Blackview A7 Pro, Stock Android 7: no USB OTG device detected
BQ Aquarius 5, Stock 4.2.1: Installation not possible: Error parsing packet
Nexus 7, 2012 version: no USB OTG device detected

Sorry, must correct my comment: Nexus 7 same error like Maschell Apr 29, 2018
SUBMIT failed :(

Doesn't seem to work with my Oukitel K5000, android 7.0. No errors returned, just no detection of the device.

Edit:

Turned out to be a bad cable. Tried with another and it works like a charm!

Hi,
Working good with my One plus 5 (OTG mode on) with an OTG adaptater. Not working with a USB C to USB C cable. Anyone been able to make it work ? Specific cable to buy ?
Regards

sony xperia z5 will not recognize the switch

Razer phone on stock rom, non-rooted. Does not work with c-to-c cable (tested included cable + anker one). Works with c->A adapter + A->c cable.

Samsung Note 8: Works when it feels like it.

Opened an issue in regards to why this was going. Author of the app said 'clearly you have a bad USB cable'.

I gave him the benefit if the doubt, tried 7 different cables, along with a few different configurations. So c -> c, otg cable etc.

Sorry dude, clearly you need to get your sh*t together, it works when it feels like, simple as that.

My Samsung Note 8 works just fine every time I have tried.

Is not requesting any USB permissions on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

EDIT: Appears to be a cable issue not detecting anything not even on Galaxy Alpha

EDIT2: Cable works with USB storage devices but not with switch nothing is detected. Any suggestions?

Not working on Moto z2 force

Update: used a type c USB hub and it worked!

Doesn't seem to work with Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 sm-j510fn rooted, Android 6.0.1

I was able to boot it via galaxy s6 edge plus but using a usb 3.0 hub self powered serving as middleware

Galaxy S8 sometimes works and sometimes not, the log never shows anything whether it works or not.
