Saving settings doesn't work on Android

First things first: Thank you very much for this great, funny game :-)
But despite the game progress is saved, if I change the settings, for example turn off the sounds, press [Back] and leaving the app through the Android back button, all settings are reset to default. On Linux it works.
I'm using
Version 1.0.5 on Android (F-Droid) and
Version 1.3 on Linux (Flatpak).

The sound settings is quite new so probably full of bugs and flatpak is outdated at the moment because for whatever reason now it doesn't want to build and have no sound and music options.
But the error seems to be a stupid decision of only saving when up in the UFO so let me fix that.
