Couldn't extract firmware file contents

I activated and jailbroke my new iPhone with independence, I then went to
do a sim unlock and got the error:

Couldn't extract firmware file contents

I rebooted my mac and my phone, d/led a new version of independence.. still
no go. 1.1.3 04.03.13_G OTB.
